I know this is a tad late with Valentines being two days ago but how AMAZING is this DIY photography project creating your own heart-shaped blur!?! And it's so simple... provided you have an SLR camera with a large aperture lens (1.8 or 2.0), some elementary math skills, and a few other around-the-house items. My aperture's max size isn't as large as Karen of Globetrotter Diaries suggests but I'm going to try and work with what I have and see how my results turn out. Full tutorial is linked below! GLOBETROTTER DIARIES // HEART SHAPED BOKEN

Fresh pop from a fuchsia lip is so striking and was everywhere at the J.Crew Fall 2012 preview show. It has a lot more range than one might expect. Glad this trend is continuing on into fall too! Now I'm even more excited for my Birchbox Pink Jouer lip gloss to arrive! I got a sample of  this shade in box a couple of months ago and loved it immediately but wasn't able to order a larger size until now because they were out of stock. Better grab some while they last!

Fun nail art tutorial from Free People! The size and shape of the manicurist nails kind of freak me out but I love the tribal look of it all. Though I'll probably only make it to step two, maybe three, myself before I've decided that's good enough for me. Enjoy! :)

I. AM. OBSESSED. Zoya's matte velvet lacquer is the coolest nail polish I've ever had the pleasure of using. It's smoky soft while still bold and bright, creating a really neat effect! And the dry time is incredibly fast, hardly any down time. I currently own the forest green color (called Veruschka) but I can't wait to get my hands on the other two colors above! Oh, who am I kidding, I want every matte velvet color they make. I'm completely geeking out over these... obviously.    

Current style crush! Pepto pink skinnies! I'm having visions of pairing these (or these) with an over-sized, off-white sweater. It's a perfect lead in for spring! I'm already over this winter business and it's only January (wahh wahh).
